Rediscovering WordPress

31 Jul

I’ve become a little over-excited about my website lately.
I’ve been away from it for more than 1.5 years – which is a very long time, I know.

I recently installed the latest version of WordPress which is such an improvement from what I was working with in 2007. Maybe that’s why I’m pumped to re-learn HTML. I’m learning about new ways to tweak my site – slowly, but surely.

I recently added a browser icon (aka favicon). Notice the purple (my fave colour) “A” with the yellow background on your browser tab/window/beside the URL. For those of you who don’t know, this is a huge accomplishment for me. I am computer-code-illiterate. What I mean is I don’t do HTML, I don’t do any kind of coding. For those who I copied Visual Basic codes off in University – you know this.

*Edit: I’m not sure how to make my favicon appear on every page though (right now it only appears on my main page)…help?
**Edit: All fixed. Thanks Verne! :)

It helps that Google is awesome. Google is my go-to resource. Isn’t it everyone’s?

Anyway, if you are visiting my site on a regular, you might see some little tweaks when it comes to details. I don’t plan to blog much in the next month because I’ll be on vacay, but when I come back I’ll have to figure out how to post photo albums. Any recommendations for photo album widgets would be appreciated! (maybe facebook album integrated ones?) :)

For those who have it, have a happy long-weekend!
